Steven Conroy is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in Building Materials Distribution. Appointed as President of Welco Lumber Corporation in March 2024, he holds executive oversight of Welco Lumber Corporation and its subsidiaries, including SilvaStar USA Corp.
His key responsibilities include crafting and implementing the companies’ vision and mission, executing strategic plans, evaluating organizational success, and identifying opportunities for expansion and market growth. With a keen eye on financial management, he directs budget activities, maximizes investments, and ensures operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Welco, Mr. Conroy held leadership positions at Central Builders’ Supply and at Slegg Building Materials, overseeing purchasing, operations, and vendor negotiations. He also spent two decades at Home Depot Canada leading store teams, Regional Merchandising for Western Canada, culminating in the role of Divisional Merchant for Building Materials Canada.
Mr. Conroy holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Northern British Columbia. His wealth of experience and academic background position him as a pivotal figure in driving Welco’s growth and expansion.
